The Translational Research Institute for Pain in Later Life (TRIPLL)

TRIPL is an NIA funded Edward R. Roybal center with a focus on the prevention and mangement of chronic pain in older adults. TRIPLL is a collaboration between investigators at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell-Ithaca, Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health, Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY) and Council of Senior Centers & Service of NYC, Inc.

TRIPLL's Goals

  1. To promote the translation of evidence-based pain reduction practices, treatments, and interventions for use by diverse older populations and their service providers and to optimize these programs

  2. To extend research-based knowledge into the community through various media

  3. To develop and test innovative methods, tools, and strategies that facilitate successful translation of evidence into practice

  4. To develop and maintain an effective infrastructure for conducting translational research on aging and pain in NYC
